Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission

State of Tennessee Lewisburg, Tennessee County of Marshall July 17, 2007

The City of Lewisburg Planning and Zoning Commission met Tuesday, July 17, 4:00 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street.

Members Present: Gary Davis, Bill Holly, Jim Bingham, Robin Minor, Karen Stoltz

Members Absent: Britt Wiles, Bill Marsh

Also Present: Greg Lowe, City’s Code Enforcement Officer; Tracy Childress, State Staff-Planner; Eddie Fuller, City Manager; Bill Haywood, City Attorney, Terry Wallace, ECD Director; Lisa Keylon, Local Planner; Clint Confher, Tribune; Michael Boyd, Tom Pennington, Matt Collins, Cameron Coble, Dave Kennedy, Jerry Stoltz, Larry Godbey, John Boutwell, John Cook

Chairman Bingham called the meeting to order.

Old Business:

1) Motion to approve the regular minutes of June 19 and the special call minutes of July 9 was made by Bill Holly.

Seconded By: Robin Minor

For: Holly, Minor, Bingham, Davis, Stoltz

Motion Passed: 5 - 0

New Business:

1) Jeff Poarch and Cameron Coble asked for final plat approval for Westhills Subdivision, Matthew Drive.

Motion was made by Robin Minor to approve final plat.

Seconded By: Bill Holly

For: Minor, Holly, Davis, Stoltz

Abstained: Bingham

Motion Passed: 4 - 0

2) Michael Boyd requested site plan approval for construction of a storage facility to be located on Higgs Road.

Members of the Board, along with the State Planner, questioned the site plan concerning proposed land use, building design and elevation, detailed storm water plan, vicinity map and landscaping plan.

After much discussion on land use, item was withdrawn until deficiencies are met.

3) John Chunn requested site plan approval for construction of an additional unit to an existing storage facility located on Old Lane Road, Grover Collins, owner.

Motion was made by Bill Holly to approve requested site plan.

Motion Passed: 5 – 0

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:05 p.m.
