Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission State of Tennessee Lewisburg, Tennessee County of Marshall June 19, 2007 The City of Lewisburg Planning and Zoning Commission met Tuesday, June 19, 4:00 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street. Members Present: Bill Holly, Jim Bingham, Britt Wiles, Bill Marsh Members Absent: Gary Davis, Hershel Davis Also Present: Greg Lowe, City’s Code Enforcement Officer; Tracy Childress, State Staff-Planner; Larry Jones, Lewisburg Water; Doug Fagan, Lewisburg Electric; Leroy Mullins, Lewisburg Gas Dept.; Lamar Haislip, Lewisburg Gas Dept. Chairman Bingham called the meeting to order. Old Business: 1) Motion to approve the minutes of the previous regular meetings of April 17 and May 15, and the minutes of the Public Hearing held May 15 was made by Britt Wiles. Seconded By: Bill Holly For: Holly, Bingham, Marsh, Wiles Motion Passed: 4 - 0 New Business: 1) Mike Faulkner requested rezoning of property located at 728 North Church Street from “R-3” (High Density Residential) to “C-2” (Intermediate Business) for the purpose of a car lot. Because of the area being residential, motion was made by Britt Wiles to deny the request of rezoning. Seconded By: Bill Holly For: None Against: Wiles, Holly, Marsh, Bingham Motion Failed: 4 – 0 2) Robert White requested site plan approval for construction of an Arby’s Restaurant to be located at 151 South Ellington Parkway. Motion to approve requested site plat was made by Bill Marsh. Seconded By: Bill Holly For: Marsh, Holly, Wiles, Bingham Motion Passed: 4 – 0 3) Ragan Smith Construction is requesting site plan approval for construction of a Kentucky Fried Chicken at Wal-Mart’s main entrance. Motion was made by Britt Wiles to approve requested site plan. Seconded By: Bill Marsh For: Wiles, Marsh, Holly, Bingham Motion Passed: 4 – 0 There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
