MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

STATE OF TENNESSEE         CITY OF LEWISBURG            COUNTY OF MARSHALL       OCTOBER 10, 2006                

The City of Lewisburg Planning and Zoning Commission met Tuesday, October 17, 4:00 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street.

Members Present:   Bill Holly, Jim Bingham, Gary Davis, Britt Wiles, Hershel Davis, Bill Marsh

Members Absent:    Lee Bowles

Also Present: Bryant Baugher, Brian Collins, Curly Bradford, Cameron Coble, Leroy Mullins, Jeff Poarch

Chairman Bingham called the meeting to order. 

Old Business:

1) Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting of September 19, 2006 was made by Bill Holly.  

Seconded By:  Britt Wiles

For:  Holly, Davis, Bingham, Wiles, Davis

Motion Passed:  5 – 0

Note:  Bill Marsh enters meeting.

New Business:

1) Jeff Poarch requested preliminary plat approval for Westhills Estate Subdivision, Section I, located off the West side of Franklin Avenue.  He addressed the Commission as to plans for the area and the type houses to be built.

Brian Collins, State Planner, recommended the following conditions prior to approval:

1. All houses face Matthew Drive.

2.Note on the plat that the school access road is a private entrance for school. 

Motion was made by Britt Wiles to approve plat approval subject to the above recommendations being noted on the final plat.

For:  Davis, Holly, Wiles, Davis, Marsh

Abstained:  Jim Bingham

Motion Passed:  5 – 0
